Lizard Leather Watch Straps

Collection: Lizard Leather Watch Straps

Real Lizard Leather Guarantee

Lizard leather is the dressiest of the exotic leathers — fine, regular scale pattern, supple drape, and a refined sheen that reads more formal than crocodile or stingray. Each strap is cut by hand from genuine lizard hide and finished so the small scales catch light without overwhelming a smaller dial. Made to order in 3-5 days, shipped from our workshop. Trusted by 1,900+ watch enthusiasts (4.7-star average across 1,970 reviews).

We make lizard straps in any lug width from 8mm through 30mm, in lengths from short (5.0" wrist) through extra-long (12" wrist), in our standard color range. Lizard sits especially well with classic dress watches: Cartier Tank, Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, Grand Seiko Snowflake, Longines La Grande Classique. See how we make a custom strap →

Frequently asked questions

Is this real lizard leather?

Yes. Every strap is cut from genuine lizard hide. The small, regular scale pattern and supple drape come from the actual reptile leather — not embossed cowhide.

How is lizard different from crocodile or stingray?

Lizard scales are small and regular (think a fine pebble texture); crocodile scales are larger and more varied; stingray has a pebble pattern with a center 'diamond.' Lizard reads as the dressiest of the three — best paired with formal dial-on-leather watches.

What watch styles pair best with lizard?

Classic dress watches with smaller cases (under 40mm) sit especially well on lizard. Cartier Tank, Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, Longines La Grande Classique, Grand Seiko dress models. Lizard works less well with sport watches or thick divers — stingray, crocodile, or shark skin tend to suit those better.

How do I care for a lizard leather strap?

Wipe with a dry or barely-damp soft cloth after wear. Avoid prolonged water exposure and harsh cleaners. Lizard's small scales don't hide oil/wear marks as well as crocodile, so daily wear with clean wrists is your friend.

What lug widths and strap lengths are available?

Any lug width from 8mm to 30mm in 1mm increments, and lengths from short (5.0" wrist) through extra-long (12" wrist). Use the Lug Width Finder if you don't know your watch's lug width, and the Bespoke Fit Calculator to dial in the strap length.
