Lizard is the dressiest of the exotic leathers. Its scales are small and tightly packed, so it reads fine and formal rather than bold, and that fine grain is exactly what a slim dress watch wants — a busy, large-pattern skin would overwhelm a thin case and a small dial. The 16 mm width and the short 70/115 mm cut were chosen to keep the strap in proportion.
