Curved-End Strap for JLC Master Control Calendar
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Calendar (ref. Q4148120) is a 40mm dress watch, and on a case with curved lugs a strap cut square across the end leaves a visible gap at the lug corners. This order from Florida asked us to close that gap with a curved-end strap in dark blue crocodile.

Why these choices
Curved end, not integrated. A curved-end strap has its lug end cut on an arc so the leather meets the case the way the lugs do. It is not an integrated strap, which is shaped around one specific case design; it is still a standard two-piece strap that mounts on spring bars. We ship curved spring bars in the chosen size, but we recommend reusing the watch's original bars when they are in good shape, since they were made for those lug holes.
Dark blue crocodile. The Master Control Calendar is a quiet watch, and crocodile keeps it in dress territory. Crocodile and alligator are industry synonyms for the same hide family, and this leather softens with wear and takes on a hand-rubbed patina over time. Dark blue is the conservative alternative to black: it stays formal, but it gives the strap some color against a steel case. The 20mm to 18mm taper. The order specified 20mm at the lugs and 18mm at the buckle. That 2mm taper keeps the strap proportional to a 40mm case at the lug end while the buckle end stays slimmer and sits more comfortably under a 7.25-inch wrist. We size from the wrist measurement so the buckle can sit near the middle holes, which leaves room to loosen the strap on a warm day.
