Corner-Notched Strap for Skagen 433LCLS in Black Swift
Share
When the original band on a Skagen 433LCLS wears out, a standard straight strap is not a clean swap, because a straight strap end will not sit flush against this case. A corner-notched strap for the Skagen 433LCLS solves it: the outer corners of the strap end are cut away, so the center fits the attachment and the full-width body lines up with the case.
This one was built for an order from Texas, from measurements the owner supplied.
The build
| Strap style | Corner-notched |
|---|---|
| Watch | Skagen 433LCLS |
| Leather | Black Swift |
| Notch measurements | A 20mm (0.79 in) / B 10mm (0.39 in) / C 4mm (0.16 in) |
| Strap length | 75/125mm (2.95/4.92 in) |
Why these choices

Corner notching is the Cartier Santos pattern: the strap is full width where it meets the case, and both outside corners are trimmed back so a narrower center section seats into the attachment point. A, B and C are the three measurements on our corner-notch template, and together they describe that cut: here 20mm, 10mm and 4mm.
Those figures come from the owner, not from a catalog listing, and measuring the watch itself is the reliable route. We recommend having a jeweler take the measurements with calipers. Being off by a millimeter on B or C is the difference between a strap that sits flush and one that gaps.
Black Swift is the quiet choice here. Swift is a smooth calfskin with deep color, softer than Epsom, so it breaks in quickly and has no grain pattern competing with a clean dial. Black also keeps the strap neutral, so it works with a dark or a light dial. At 75/125mm the strap fits an average wrist.
Why not use a narrower straight strap instead? It would fit the attachment but look undersized against the case, leaving a step between the case edge and the leather. The corner notch keeps the strap as wide as the case, which is how the watch was meant to be worn, and the wider body is less likely to twist at the attachment over time.

★★★★★
“The watch came with an integrated titanium strap that did not work for me. I asked my jeweler to help with getting the replacement strap dimensions right. VGreen did a great job with a lovely custom notched leather strap.”

FAQ
Can I get a corner-notched strap for a Skagen 433LCLS made to my measurements?
Yes. Our custom corner-notched strap page asks for A, B and C in millimeters, and we cut to those figures.
What if I am not sure of the measurements?
Take the watch to a jeweler or send us clear photos with a ruler beside the case. We will check the numbers before cutting. Include your wrist size and preferred length so we can confirm the fit too.
Each strap is made to order, so allow 2–3 weeks to delivery. See more notched fits in our custom notched straps collection, or browse Swift leather watch straps and black leather watch straps.
