Cartier Tank Solo Strap in Black Epsom Leather
This order arrived with a problem written into the notes rather than picked from a menu. The customer already owned a Cartier deployant clasp and wanted the strap built to it, but could not find that option in the form. So he typed it: "unable to find 'Build for my Cartier deployant' option. Please build for my Cartier deployant and disregard 'classic stainless steel' buckle choice." That sentence is the entire brief. The strap ships without a buckle, and the clasp end is sized to his Cartier folding clasp instead.

Lug width was not specified on this order, so none is published here. The 18mm figure above is the buckle end, which is a different measurement.
Why these choices
Epsom is the stamped-grain calfskin used on Hermès bags. It is light and scratch-resistant, and the pressed grain holds its shape rather than slouching. On a Tank Solo that matters more than it does on a diver: the case is thin and flat, and a soft leather that rolls at the lug will read as sloppy against those straight brancards. Epsom stays crisp.
The 75/115mm split is the standard cut, which suits a mid-size wrist. What changes the build is the clasp end. A deployant clasp does not thread and fold like a pin buckle does, so the tail has to be cut to the clasp's own bar width and left unpunched at the fold, and the keeper arrangement changes. Building it as a pin-buckle strap and hoping the clasp fits afterwards does not work, which is why the note mattered.
We would rather read a sentence like that than have someone force their order into the closest available option. If the configurator does not have your case, write it in the notes. A person reads every one before the strap is cut.

What do you need from me to build a strap for a Cartier Tank Solo? The case size, the length you want, and — if you are using your own clasp — a photo of it with the bar width. That is enough. A Cartier Tank Solo strap is a fitment job first and a leather choice second, so we would rather have the measurements than a color preference.
Do I get a buckle if I am supplying my own clasp? No. When you tell us to build to your clasp we cut the tail for it and leave the buckle out, so you are not paying for hardware that stays in a drawer.
