Black Stingray Strap for the Sinn 556
The Sinn 556 is a clean German tool watch, and most owners leave it on steel or a plain band. This one went the other way: a black stingray strap for an 8-inch wrist, fitted to the owner's own buckle. The customer had seen the black stingray on our site and wanted that exact look, sized to their watch's 45.5 mm lug-to-lug and 18 mm lugs. None of that comes ready-made, so it was cut to order.

Why these choices
Stingray is an exotic with a look nothing else copies: a pebbled surface of tiny round scales, with a centered cluster of brighter pearl scales, the natural "diamond" marking that tells you it isn't embossed cowhide. In black, that texture turns a utilitarian Sinn into something with quiet presence, and stingray is one of the hardest-wearing leathers you can put on a watch, which suits a tool watch worn daily.
Because the customer fitted their own buckle, the strap was finished at 18 mm straight to that hardware, with regular spring bars to match the watch's fixed-bar setup. The 85/135 mm length was cut long for the 8-inch wrist, with the lug-to-lug measurement used to keep the strap in proportion so it doesn't disappear under a larger case.
