Extra-long is the whole point of this one. A standard strap sized around 75/115mm runs out of adjustment past about 8.5 inches; at 90/145mm there is enough length on the tail side to fasten comfortably and still tuck through the keeper. We build extra-long up to the 12-inch range.

Ostrich leg leather has a natural scaled grain that runs in a fairly regular pattern along the strap, a different look from round-skin ostrich and a hard-wearing one. In dark brown it stays understated, which suits the clean dial and slim bezel of the Portugieser rather than fighting it.

The customer paired it with a gold classic buckle and tonal brown stitching, keeping the warm, dressy register the Portugieser is known for. The strap is padded for presence under the larger case and tapers to the 18mm buckle.
