The Nixon CS Esquire is a big watch with wide lugs, and finding a soft 30 mm leather strap for one off the shelf is close to impossible. This order used whisky suede, cut for a 7.0" – 7.5" (18 – 19 cm) wrist with a 30 mm lug and a 28 mm buckle.

Why these choices
Suede is the buffed underside of the hide — matte, soft and casual, the opposite of a glossy dress strap. In whisky it warms up a big steel case and leans into the relaxed look a watch like the Esquire is going for. See more in our suede and brown strap ranges.
The real problem this solved was width. A 30 mm lug is well beyond the standard strap range, so we cut this to size and tapered it to a 28 mm buckle. Odd and oversized lug widths are routine for us — every strap is made to order to the measurements you give.
