Shark Skin Strap for the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M
The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 44 mm is a big watch on a rubber or steel bracelet, and most leather looks either too formal or too flimsy under it. This order from Spain went the other way: black shark skin, white side stitching, and an Omega-style deployant so the strap never has to be threaded through a keeper at all.

Why these choices
Shark is the toughest of the exotics we cut, with a dense, tooth-textured grain that holds its shape under a heavy case. That matters on a 44 mm chronograph: a soft calf strap gets pulled out of line by the case weight within a few months, while shark stays flat across the lugs. The texture also reads as sport rather than dress, which is the register this watch actually lives in.
White side stitching is the one decorative call on the build, and it is doing a job. The Diver 300M dial and bezel carry white markers and white text; running a matching white thread down each edge ties the strap to the dial instead of leaving a black slab under a busy watch face. Everything else stays quiet — tapered tip, no contrast edge paint, no padding stack.
The deployant is why the length reads 80/130 mm. A folding clasp eats a fixed amount of strap on both sides, so the tail is cut shorter than it would be for a pin buckle; sizing it as if it were a standard buckle is the most common way a deployant build ends up too long. The 18 mm buckle width is the clasp end, not the lug end — those are different measurements and we cut each to its own number.

Shark is the most abrasion-resistant hide we work with, but no leather strap is a swim strap. Keep the bracelet or rubber for diving and use leather for everything else — that is how most owners of this reference run it.
Can I keep the deployant from my bracelet?
If you already own an Omega-style folding clasp, tell us the clasp width and we cut the strap to it. Send the measurement of the clasp end rather than the lug end — mixing the two is what makes a deployant strap fit badly.
