Extra-Long Suede Strap for Breitling Navitimer
Share
A stock strap is cut for an average wrist. When the wrist runs larger, the tail ends up too short to reach the clasp comfortably. This order from England solved that with an extra-long strap for Breitling Navitimer in midnight blue suede, built to work with the owner's own deployant clasp instead of a pin buckle.

Why these choices
Length first. A standard strap is usually around 75/125mm. This one runs 105mm on the buckle side and 160mm on the tail side, 265mm (10.4 in) end to end before the clasp is fitted. Most makers stop at straps for wrists up to about 8.5 inches; our extra-long watch straps are built for wrists from 8.5 to 12 inches. We lengthen both halves rather than only the tail, so the case stays centered on top of the wrist and the clasp sits underneath, where it belongs.
No holes, flat end. The customer is fitting their own deployant clasp, so a row of pin holes would only be visual noise. A deployant grips the strap at one fixed point, which means the length has to be right from the start. The customer also asked for a flat, straight-cut end instead of a pointed tip. On a deployant the tail tucks under the clasp, and a square end lies flatter there than a tapered point.
Midnight blue suede. Suede is the buffed underside of cowhide, so it has a matte, soft surface with no shine. That makes it a more relaxed partner for a pilot's chronograph than a glossy exotic. See more in our suede leather watch straps and blue leather watch straps.
Regular spring bars. The order uses regular spring bars, the kind removed with a strap tool, rather than quick-release bars. The 18mm buckle width matches the customer's clasp; we only list the measurements the customer gave us, so check your own Navitimer's lug width before ordering, since it varies by case size.

FAQ
How do I size an extra-long strap for Breitling Navitimer?
Measure your wrist with a soft tape, then measure your current strap from the lug to the end of each side. Tell us your wrist size and the lengths you want in the order notes. If you use a deployant clasp, mention it so we leave out the holes and cut the length to suit the clasp.
Can I use my original Breitling deployant clasp?
Yes. Choose "Use my own buckle" and enter the clasp width as the buckle width. In this build the customer's clasp takes an 18mm strap end, and we cut the strap without holes so the length is set once at the clasp.
