Extra-Long Crocodile Strap for Rolex Submariner
Share
A Rolex Submariner on a large wrist runs out of strap before it runs out of watch. Most crocodile straps stop at a 75/125mm split, which puts the buckle past the last hole and leaves the tail too short to reach both keepers. This one was cut at 90/145mm so the buckle sits mid-travel and the tip still tucks away.

Why these choices
The length is the whole job on this one. Our extra-long watch straps are cut for wrists between 8.5 and 12 inches, which is past the point where most makers stop, and 90/145mm sits comfortably inside that range rather than at the edge of it. Adding all the extra length to the tail alone would have pushed the buckle off center and left the keepers sitting on the wrong side of the wrist, so both halves grew together.
A heavy stainless buckle suits a steel sports case better than a slim one, and on a strap this long it gives the tail something solid to sit against. The white stitching runs double side rather than as a single line down each edge, which reads clearly against black and holds the folded edge flat over a longer span.
Finish is worth naming on the order form. This customer asked directly whether the crocodile reads shiny or matte and specified shiny, which is a far easier thing to settle before the hide is cut than after it ships. Crocodile softens with wear either way and takes on a hand-rubbed patina across the first few months. The V-square tip and quick-release bars were the last two calls: a squared-off tip reads more modern than a rounded one against a dive bezel, and quick release means the strap comes off without a spring bar tool.

Two questions we get
Can you make an extra-long strap for a Rolex Submariner?
Yes. The configurator goes well past the usual 75/125mm ceiling, and this build shows a 90/145mm cut in black crocodile with a 20mm buckle width. Longer splits are available if your wrist needs them.
Does quick release change how the strap fits?
No. Quick release describes the spring bars, not the strap: a small lever in the bar lets you pull the strap off without a tool. Length, width and the way the strap sits against the case are all unchanged.
Every strap here is cut to the measurements written on the order, so a Submariner that needs 90/145mm gets exactly that and nothing rounded to the nearest stock size.
