Corner-Notched Strap for Omega 155.0015
Share
The Omega 155.0015 doesn't leave room for a standard straight-cut strap. The case end is wider than the gap between the lugs, so a plain strap either won't seat or leaves a visible gap at each corner. This build answers that with a corner-notched strap: full width where the strap meets the case, stepped down at both corners so the center section drops between the lugs.

Why these choices
Corner notches, not a center notch. We cut two kinds of notched straps. A center-notched strap has a tab in the middle that fills a recess in the case. A corner-notched strap does the opposite: the strap runs at full width across the case end, then steps in at both outside corners so the narrower middle can sit between the lugs. That second pattern is the one that matches a case like this, where the case is broad and the lugs sit inboard. The numbers tell the story: 28 mm across the top, 18 mm through the center, and only 2.5 mm of step at each corner. A shallow step like that is a fitting cut, not a styling cut. It closes the gap against the case without changing how the strap looks from a normal viewing distance.
Measurements first, leather second. Every corner-notched strap we make is cut to the customer's own A/B/C measurements, which is why we recommend having a jeweler measure the case if you're unsure. At 2.5 mm, a half-millimeter error is a fifth of the notch, so the measuring matters more than any other decision on this strap. The 85/135 mm length is longer than our usual 75/115 mm default and suits a larger wrist.
Black Alran goat. Goat leather has a finer grain than cowhide and is softer in the hand, which helps on a wide strap: 28 mm of leather at the case end is a lot of surface to break in, and a softer hide settles faster. Black keeps the focus on the case shape. If you want to see more of what we cut in black, our black leather watch straps and goat leather watch straps collections are good places to start.

“I was a bit apprehensive when I sent off my measurements, I kept thinking that I had got them totally wrong, but when the strap arrived and was fitted I was pleased to say it fitted perfectly! … I can now wear the watch that I wasn’t able to previously.”

FAQ
How do I measure my Omega 155.0015 for a corner-notched strap?
You need three numbers: A, the full width of the case end where the strap meets it; B, the width of the opening between the lugs; and C, how deep the step is from the case edge to the lug. Measure with calipers in millimeters, or have a jeweler do it. Our form on the custom corner-notched strap page walks through each one.
Can I get a corner-notched strap for the Omega 155.0015 in another leather?
Yes. The notch is cut to your measurements, and the leather is a separate choice, so the same A/B/C fit can be made in calfskin, exotics, or Italian veg-tan. Browse the options in our custom notched straps collection.
If your watch has a case a standard strap can't fit, send us your measurements and we'll cut the notches to match. Every strap is made to order, so allow 2–3 weeks to delivery.
