Black Crocodile Strap for the Omega Speedmaster
The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional is one of the most recognizable watches made, and most owners eventually want a dressier option than the steel bracelet it ships on. This order went to a customer in England who wanted a black crocodile strap for the Hesalite Moonwatch Professional. One detail shaped the whole build: he asked us to cut it for his own buckle rather than supply one of ours. So the strap leaves the bench without a buckle, tapered to a 16 mm end so his existing hardware sits flush against the leather. Made to order, it was built around his measurements rather than a stock size.

Why these choices
Black crocodile is the natural dress upgrade for a Speedmaster. It keeps the watch monochrome and formal without competing with the busy chronograph dial, and it carries more presence than smooth calf under bright light. Crocodile and alligator are the same hide family; the skin softens against the wrist and develops a hand-rubbed patina with wear, so it tends to look better after a season than it does on day one.
The own-buckle request is common on the Speedmaster, where owners want to keep the signed Omega pin buckle or a deployant they already have. We cut the buckle end to 16 mm to match that hardware and shipped the strap without a buckle of our own. We size the strap from the lug end to the buckle end as two separate measurements, so the 16 mm figure is the tail width only and not a claim about the watch's lug spacing. The body was cut to 75/115 mm for a standard wrist.
