Badalassi Wax (sometimes called Pueblo or Minerva Wax depending on tannery) is an Italian veg-tanned leather distinguished by its waxy, slightly oily finish that creates a "pull-up" effect — the leather lightens where it bends or stretches, giving each strap a hand-rubbed character that develops over time. What's the pull-up effect?

When you bend or stretch wax-finished leather, the wax in the surface temporarily separates and the leather lightens where the bend happens. This creates a 3D, hand-rubbed look that develops naturally over time as the strap is worn. It's the reason Badalassi Wax has the distinctive vintage character watch enthusiasts seek.

Does Badalassi Wax develop a patina?

How do I care for a Badalassi Wax leather strap?

Wipe with a dry soft cloth after wear. Light buffing with a soft cloth can revive the wax sheen if it dulls. Avoid prolonged water exposure (water can spot wax-finish leather). Conditioner is rarely needed and in fact can disrupt the wax finish.
