This Alexander Shorokhoff Square & Round has a green and cream dial, and the racing strap built for it picks up both colors. The order, shipped to New Jersey, paired dark green crocodile with large racing holes and creamy white stitching, on a padded strap with a V-square tip.

Why these choices

Two details make a strap a racing strap: racing-inspired perforations and contrast stitching. This one has both. The perforations are our large-hole version, and the contrast comes from creamy white thread on dark green leather, stitched double side. On a dial that mixes green and cream, the pairing does a specific job: the leather carries the green and the thread carries the cream.
Crocodile is the base leather, and like all crocodile it softens with wear and develops a hand-rubbed patina. Padding gives the strap body some height, and the tail ends in a V-square tip.

The hardware is straightforward. The buckle end is 20mm (0.79") and carries our heavy stainless steel buckle, and quick-release spring bars let the owner swap the strap without tools. The customer's note set the length at 80mm (3.15") on the buckle side and 125mm (4.92") on the tail side, 5mm more on the buckle side than the standard 75/125mm pairing. A longer buckle side moves the buckle a little further around the wrist, away from the watch head.
Every detail on this strap is an option in our order form: the racing style with large holes, the stitching style and thread color, padding, and the tip shape. That makes the recipe easy to repeat. The same build works on another leather, or with a different thread color to pick up a different dial accent.

★★★★★
“Pure class! Strap has a rich, deep green finish that’s neither too shiny nor too matte. Finely crafted and stitched. … Compliments the emerald green sunburst dial beautifully!”

FAQ
What makes a racing strap for Alexander Shorokhoff Square & Round different from a classic strap?
Two things: racing-inspired perforations and contrast stitching. A classic strap has no perforations. On this build, large holes and creamy white double-side stitching do that work, and the racing style can be ordered in our other leathers too.
Is crocodile the same as alligator?
In the strap trade the two names are used as synonyms for the same hide family, so you will see both on straps like this one. You can compare colors in our crocodile and alligator watch straps.
To order one for your own watch, start with the dark green crocodile strap and choose the racing style, or browse more green leather watch straps. Each strap is made to order; allow 2–3 weeks to delivery.
