Why these choices
Crocodile and alligator come from the same hide family; the terms are used interchangeably in the trade. It is a leather that softens with wear and takes on a hand-rubbed patina, so the strap looks better a year in than it does on day one. We dyed the hide to a dark green pulled toward the watch's bezel rather than a generic bottle green.
White box stitching runs the full perimeter to frame the dark leather and echo the printed markers on the dial. The customer supplied a 22 mm buckle from an existing clasp, so we built the strap without one and cut the tip tapered so it feeds cleanly through a deployant.
