Crocodile Strap for a Tissot Seastar 2000
The Tissot Seastar 2000 is a 46mm watch, and this one is worn on a 6.8 inch (17.3cm) wrist. That combination is exactly where off-the-shelf straps fail: anything long enough to look proportional to the case leaves a tail wrapping far past the keepers on a smaller wrist. Why these choices
Strap length is usually an afterthought; on a big diver worn on a smaller wrist it is the whole game. Cutting 70/115mm instead of a stock length keeps the correct sizing hole in the middle of the run and the tail inside the keepers, so the 46mm case wears deliberately rather than borrowed. The padded, tapered build gives the strap enough shoulder at the lugs to match the case's presence, then narrows so the wrist does not carry bulk it does not need.
Golden brown stitching on black crocodile is a quiet way to warm up a technical watch. It reads as detail rather than contrast, and it ties in with the customer's own hardware, which we built the strap around. When an order arrives with a buckle photo attached, we size the tail and holes to that exact buckle; the strap ships without one, ready to accept it.
