Crocodile Strap for the Audemars Piguet Millenary
Share
The Audemars Piguet Millenary is an oval-cased line that AP has since retired, which leaves owners with a problem the watch never had in production: sourcing the next strap. An order from Ontario answered it with a crocodile strap for the Audemars Piguet Millenary in burgundy — 70/115mm end to end, closed with a gold Classic buckle.

Why these choices

The Millenary always sat closer to the dress end of AP's catalog than the Royal Oak's industrial edge, and the leather choice leans into that. Burgundy runs warmer than black and carries more character than plain brown, and the gold buckle keeps the hardware in the same register as a gold or two-tone case. Crocodile softens with wear and takes on a hand-rubbed patina, so the strap molds in rather than wearing out.
Worth being straight about fitment: Millenary references do not all take a strap the same way. Many wear a conventional two-piece strap on standard lugs — this build is exactly that, a 70/115mm two-piece on regular, tool-fitted spring bars. The later, larger 4101-generation cases instead wear a wide curved-profile strap that a standard cut will not serve. That is why every strap here is cut to the measurements on the order, not to an assumed factory spec.
At 70/115mm — 185mm, or about 7.3in end to end — this one runs a little shorter than a standard cut, sized to the wearer's wrist. Regular spring bars over quick-release was a deliberate pick too: tool-fitted bars are the traditional route on a dress watch, fitted once and then left alone.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order a crocodile strap for the Audemars Piguet Millenary in a different reference or color?
Yes. Every strap is made to the measurements on the order, so note your reference and lug measurements in the order notes at checkout. If your Millenary is one of the wide curved-strap references, mention that too — a standard cut is not the right answer there, and the build can be shaped to match.
How long does a made-to-order strap take?
Each strap is built to spec after the order is placed. Allow 2 to 3 weeks to delivery.
