Measure each dimension on your watch as shown in the diagram above. All values in millimeters. Half-millimeters are fine (e.g. 22.5).

Leather

If your preferred leather or color isn't shown, mention it in the Notes below — extra charges may apply.

  • X — the full width of the strap end. (e.g. 20mm)
  • Y — the width of the notch: the piece cut out of the middle of the end. (e.g. 8mm)
  • Z — how deep the notch cuts back. (e.g. 4mm)

These fields are millimetres. If you measured in inches, convert first — 1 inch = 25.4mm.

In Notes, tell us: your watch brand, model and reference; the buckle-end width; tapered or straight; and whether you're reusing your own buckle.

When the case cuts into the middle of the strap

On some watches the case doesn't sit between two lugs at all. A centre block or a bracelet end-link housing drops into the middle of the strap end, so the strap has to be cut away in the centre and left full width at the corners. A straight strap simply will not seat.

We cut the strap to the full width of your case and take a notch of exactly the width and depth your case needs out of the centre — cut to your watch rather than to a standard size.

Made to order in 3–5 days and typically delivered in 2–3 weeks, in any of our leathers.

Which watches take a centre-notched strap?

The watches our centre-notch customers actually own — from our own order history:

  • TAG Heuer — the Link and the S/el. Both were designed around an integrated bracelet, and no leather version was ever sold.
  • Integrated-bracelet dress watches — Movado, Concord, Bertolucci, Eterna KonTiki, Frédérique Constant Highlife.
  • Discontinued OEM straps — Oris TT3, Victorinox Swiss Army, Bulova, Steinhausen, Casio Oceanus, and a long tail of vintage cases whose original strap is no longer made.

Widths vary by reference, so measure your own watch rather than trusting a model name.

Not the right shape?

Send us a photo before you order if you're not sure and we'll tell you which one you need.
