Shark Skin Leather - Is it water resistant?

Is Shark Skin Leather Water Resistant?

Yes, Shark Skin leather is water resistant, but can you swim with a shark skin watch band?

The answer is Yes and No.

Yes - if the watch band is made entirely by shark skin. Keep in mind that it could have undesirable smell after being soaked in water for a long time.

No, in most cases, watch bands have lining leather making the band more comfortable to wear, and lining leather tends to be not water resistant.

At VGreen, we use Zermatt as lining leather for all of our watch bands. It is not recommended to use any of our watch bands for swimming, but hand washing or going under drizzle would be perfectly fine.
