This build came from a Seamaster owner in England who wanted a brown crocodile strap made to one exact length, with no keepers, and fitted to a buckle they already owned. None of that is available off the shelf: standard straps don't come in a 100/105 mm split, they ship with a buckle you may not want, and they keep the loops you didn't ask for. So this one was cut from scratch.

Why these choices
The Seamaster is a sports watch that cleans up well, and a brown crocodile strap pushes it toward the dressier end without losing the everyday feel. Crocodile softens with wear and takes on a hand-rubbed patina over time, so the strap reads less formal the longer it's worn. The length is the real work here. A 100/105 mm split is shorter than a standard strap and was cut to the owner's wrist, with the loops left off entirely so the tail sits flat against the skin. Because the customer fitted their own buckle, the strap was built at 18 mm straight through with a tapered, padded profile so the existing hardware lines up cleanly. The tapered tip keeps the strap from looking bulky under a dress cuff.
Side stitching and the padded back are the practical touches: padding gives the strap body so it holds its shape, and the side seam protects the edge on a strap that will see daily wear on the wrist.
